In Bloom ‘Rose’ Make-up Bag
The In Bloom range from Disaster Designs is inspired by old-fashioned garden seed packets and nineteenth century flower illustrations. The make-up bag itself is printed with a facsimile of a seed packet, with a false envelope flap on the back, tied with string and buttons. The reverse of the wallet also has a description of the Rose, with gardening instructions, printed in old-fashioned type with engraved illustrations. On the front of the wallet the early nineteenth century Art Nouveau inspired styling continues, with the word ‘Rose’ printed in white in an old typeface and a coloured illustration of the plant, surrounded by engravings and lettering to give the appearance of an old seed label. A fabric label with the words ‘In Bloom’ in an ornate script is attached to the side of the bag, and the zip has a metal pull in the shape of a miniature rosebud bouquet.
