♥ DESCRIPTION: A stunning vintage, jet black, cotton mix soft velvet, full length coat/dress with distinctive styling by Laura Ashley ~ featuring a high nehru style collar lined & edged in taffeta type fabric, which continues down the central hem of the coat ~ a row of thirteen taffeta covered buttons down the centre for fastening ~ curved seaming over the bust & down to the waist seam with quite tight pleats at the waist which then cascade down to form a more full, very flared skirt ~ slightly padded shoulders ~ & full length sleeves with ruched, slightly puffed tops & a buttoned up small slit vent at the cuffs, edged in taffeta ribboning and finished with a velvet covered button at each cuff. ~  The back is just stunning also ~ like the front, there is curved seaming down the top section to enhance the hourglass silhouette, which then gathers into tight pleats beneath the waist seam & then falls into the wonderful full and generous skirt. ~

This coat/dress is just gorgeous, very typical of Laura Ashley styling at her best, with the sumptuous jet black velvet & long length silhouette, which elegantly & subtly 'nips in' at the waist & cascades down into a very full, floaty skirt creating that very sexy victoriana style hour glass figure ~ and the taffeta type detailing just adds that extra touch of beauty to the whole ensemble!~ Incredibly elegant, sophisticated & flattering & just so sexy!!! ~ & due to the fully buttoned up front, high neckline, tailored shape and the lighter weight velvet fabric this coat could certainly be worn as a dress if you choose! Sumptuous, elegant in a really subtly sexy way, with the opulence, shape and rich textures ~ stunning!!!
