This Vintage Keystone Moviegraph Manufacturing Metal Toy Projector, Model 198 W was patented in 1920 under Patent 55107 & 1345793. At that time, home movie viewing was becoming more and more popular and this projector was made for kids to share in the experience.  This toy projector is made out of metal and has a manual crank handle that still turns.  This item was made for use with safety slow burning films and light bulbs under 150 watts.

Although the lens is cracked and there is some rust on the parts where the film gets fed, we doubt anybody would want this item to actually use it.  We think that it is a cool looking show piece or prop.  If you are handy, this projector is screaming to be made into a lamp.  It has a hollow middle for hiding electrical works and a hollow rod coming out of the top which would be perfect for neatly feeding power to a light fixture.  DIY and make it an amazing and functional piece!

The item stands 14.5" tall, and is 11.5" deep and 6.5" wide.  It weighs 6 lbs 4 oz.

It was made in Boston, Massachusetts, USA
