Description

Advanced Dual Stage CO2 Regulator with BMV Solenoid and Pisco Valve
  • Dual stage mechanism ensures constant output pressure throughout cylinder lifespan.
  • Adjustable output pressure 0-5 bar to meet needs of any aquarium.
  • High precision Pisco valve for ultimate dosing control.
  • High quality advanced BMV solenoid guaranteed no noise and low power consumption.
  • Dual pressure gauges give readings for cylinder pressure and output pressure.
  • Industry standard nut, compatible with DIN 477 / BS 341 No. 8 / JIS m22-14 / W21.8-14 / .860" x 1/14 (covers UK, Europe and Asia).

The Advanced dual stage regulator with BMV solenoid and Pisco valve gives the operator complete confidence in every requirement of the design. Starting with the ability to adjust output pressure, this enable the regulator to be tailored to an aquarium's specific pressure requirements, whether operating a single diffuser or multiple diffusers, this regulator can deliver what's needed.

The 'dual stage' design means that the output pressure remains constant, even if the input pressure were to increase or decrease, which can happen throughout the lifespan of the CO2 cylinder. You can therefore rest assured knowing that the CO2 flow will not increase or decrease beyond your defined level.

A high precision Pisco valve is fitted as standard, which enables incredible control of CO2 dosing, from 1 bubble / 10 seconds, through to constant flow of CO2. This makes it ideal for small nano aquariums to large aquariums alike.

The high quality advanced BMV solenoid enables timed dosing of CO2 by connecting to a timer plug or pH controller, enabling the CO2 to be switched off during dark hours when the plants aren't photosynthesising and therefore don't require CO2. It operates with 220-240v AC but internally converts to 12v DC, which eliminates any possibility of the solenoid buzzing or humming. It also consumes only 0.8W of power, making it very energy efficient.

Dual pressure gauges are also fitted to enable visual display of the output working pressure of the regulator, and also the input pressure from the cylinder.

Instructions

Tighten nut to CO2 cylinder or adapter using appropriate sized wrench or spanner (do not attempt to hand-tighten).

Ensure pressure adjuster is turned fully anti-clockwise to set output pressure to minimum.

Fully open the needle valve by turning anti-clockwise, and switch the solenoid on. This will reduce the initial pressure surge on the pressure gauges when the CO2 cylinder valve is opened.

Open flow of CO2 on the cylinder.

Turn solenoid off and close needle valve by turning fully clockwise.

Connect your bubble counter, tubing and diffuser to the regulator.

Slowly turn the pressure adjuster clockwise until it reaches 40PSI.

Turn solenoid on and begin flow of CO2 by turning the needle valve anti-clockwise.

Allow a couple of minutes for pressure to build in the tubing and diffuser.

Adjust needle valve until desired bubble rate is achieved. Adjust the pressure if required.
