How does Gore-tex work?
Gore-tex is the world leader in clothing and footwear waterproofing protection and is guaranteed to keep you dry, it is basically a membrane that allows moisture vapours (sweat) to be released, whilst also preventing substances such as oil, dirt, wind and rain from penetrating. As Gore-tex is a material membrane it will lose it waterproofing after extensive wear. Some of our used Gore-tex lined boots may have lost some of their waterproofing capacity due to this.There are however many products available on the market, such as special washing agents, which will re-proof and keep your Gore-tex waterproof for its lifespan.


 
What is New / Super Grade?
New / Super grade is either brand new in the box or just like new with no marks and perfect soles.

What is Grade 1?
Grade1 or used conditionmeans the goods have been previously worn but are still in very goodcondition (much better than grade 2). they will have slight marks onthe leather (most do not)  and will have had soft wear to thesoles.

What is Grade 2 ?
Grade 2 meansthe goods have been previously worn but are still in average/goodcondition. Some is in the same condition as grade one but may havedirt on them so have been graded as grade 2. They will havescuffs/marks or indentations to the toe area and may also a little dirtto the sole area. They will have had medium wear to the soles /heels but still have plenty of life in them. Some times this isbeneficial to the wearer as the boots have already been broken inwhich means the likely hood of getting blister and rubbing isminimal. Normally with a good clean and polish these will look veryclose to grade one.
