This pedal is an MXR Carbon Copy which was rehoused and modified by FXdoctor. You are bidding only on the black pedal in the picture above; the original enclosure is only shown for reference and is not included with the auction. This modification takes the Carbon Copy analog delay pedal, places it in a larger enclosure, adds tap tempo with modulation controls, and adds a center switch to let you turn the modulation effect on and off. This description is long but it will be detailed; please read all of it before buying.

The Tap Tempo conversion circuit will install a footswitch which will set the pedal's delay time to match the tempo inputted by the user. This is an easy way to get your delay repeats to sync up with your music. This circuit replaces the clock chip that all analog delay pedals have. The signal path– and more importantly the analog delay chips– will not be changed in any way. Your pedal will sound the same but with added functionality.

This pedal also has: Modulation: Rate and Depth controls

Ratio Switch: quarter note (default setting, center position on toggle switch), dotted eighth note, or triplets.

The center switch turns the delay modulation on and off.

Before buying please understand the following:
1. The audio path of this pedal is unchanged. It will sound like an MXR Carbon Copy. Analog delay pedals will have lower fidelity than a digital delay and even clock noise at longer delay times. This is normal and not due to the modification.
2. The modulation effect (rate and depth) only affects the delayed signal. You can't turn the center footswitch on with the delay signal bypassed and expect a chorus effect.
3. This pedal is sold as is but as described. There's a long description which is accurate, please ask questions BEFORE buying. I am not a store; I do not accept returns. This modification is $200 plus the cost of a carbon copy so I am not interested in lower offers.

This video below is of a SIMILAR pedal. It is not the exact pedal for sale.
