These are very rare mics that were made by TELEX, the parent company of electro voice, the same year the two companies merged. I believe these mics were actually designed by electro voice. The Cobalt brand became part of Electro-Voice and EV still make at least one of the Cobalt series mics that I'm aware of.

These are new old stock mics that have never been sold and have only been used once by me to ensure they are functioning up to spec. They are.

When I tested these mics I found that they don't get along with every phantom power supply. I think they need to be receiving a full 48v. A lot of manufactures have begun to cheat and are building supplies that can be as little as 11volts. They work great with my Mackie mixer and with my DBX channel strip however they did not like the phantom power from my Joe Meek mic preamp or from my Alesis i02 interface. Obviously, you always have the option of running them on batteries if a phantom power supply creates noise.

These are recordings of the actual mics for sale. The first two clips are one for each mic on the same guitar source. The third clip is to show the noise that some insufficient phantom power sources can create:

TELEX SE60 guitar no. 1

TELEX SE60 guitar no. 2

TELEX SE60 phantom power noise.
