Stainless Steel  with bright chrome/steel accents a stunning colour combination.

These items hail from the late 1980’s the production period ran from 80's through to the 90's.

The one shown on the above site, is of  the later variants as per this pen, with the solid clip, and the Montblanc motif at the base of the clip.

Also known as the 3 Star variants due to the Montblanc Star being on the clip, top of the cap, and base of the barrel.

This pen is very slim, elegant, easy to hold and use.

It uses the current Montblanc  ink cartridge refills, or any International style cartridge  - it has one supplied ready to write.

It will also take an ink converter - NOT SUPPLIED

Most European fountain pen brands use "international standard cartridges". These cartridges are also called "European cartridges" or "standard cartridges" or "universal cartridges". Short cartridges are 38 mm in length with about 0.75 ml of capacity and long cartridges are 72 mm in length with about 1.45 ml capacity.

The bright steel barrel and cap are really set off by the bright chrome clip and accents, and looks superb.

The cap has a single solid clip which has the Montblanc motif at the base, which is perfect. 

A white Montblanc star set in black precious resin, surrounded by a thick chrome band at the top, 

and a further white Montblanc motif at the base of the pen, in a narrow chrome band.

Inscribed around the base of the pen, a factory fresh imprint

‘MONTBLANC - GERMANY'

Hence the 3 stars model variant attached to these later slimline pens.

The hand finished wing nib, gives great strength and flexibility, 

 It is inscribed

'MONTBLANC’  

- The nib is a MEDIUM POINT - 

These nibs are very flexible, 

fluid 

smooth to write with, 

They will give a different writing style 

dependant on the pressure applied.

It writes beautifully, with a nice smooth flexible nib.

The hand held area around the base of the pen, near the nib and feed area, still has the factory fresh silver crystalline finish to it (please see the pictures)

The pen IS IN TOTALLY SUPERB CONDITION.

Remember these were produced from the late 1970’s to around 1982. 

Its’ condition is a tribute to the build quality used back then.

This pen looks stunning.

It is free from any dings/dents/scratches.

The pen will give many many years of use.

Remember these are metal bodied  pens and are a lot more durable than the current precious resin bodies. 

They are stylish, slim, and fit easily in the hand, a pleasure to use and own.

I do not sell FAKES, I take a lot of time and effort to identify the pens I sell, and they are all GENUINE and AUTHENTIC.

I take the time to try and describe them as accurately as possible, and take photographs to assist with any decision you may need to bid on the items or not.

I now tend to concentrate on the metal bodied pens throughout the range, as these are far stronger, wear well with age, and last much longer than their precious resin counterparts. They are also able to take abuse, and the day to day knocks, bumps and falls.

I ensure that they are supplied with a working cartridge or refill, and if not will say so, and assist in my listings with possible alternatives for future use.

If a box is supplied I will say so, otherwise all pens come well wrapped and packaged, as my feedback proves.

All pens are cleaned and inspected, and checked, prior to listing

Within the UK I post the items by Next Day signed for and charge the appropriate rate for this, using either brand new Jiffy Bags or good quality recycled ones. This ensures you get the pen very quickly, it is adequately insured for both parties, and is faster then First Class post. (There is about £1.00 difference by the time you add the insurance on first class and for the value of the items sent, Next Day service is the preferred option.

Internationally I ship by Air Sure only, this is door to door signed fully insured – I will not ship any other way, so please do not ask

With both postal options I provide the tracking number to you as soon as the item is posted

I will combine postage on any multiple items purchased
