A very rare French certified violin bow made by Nicolas Leonard Tourte in Paris ca. 1800 with an exception of frog and button that are later made in the maker's style. This is a fine example with a superb sound and handling, strong, exceptionally beautiful in excellent condition, definitely suitable for a soloist. The stick is pernambuco, round in shape, made with a great character, typical for the maker. Frog is ebony with silver mounting, nicely made. Button is silver. The weight of the bow is 59.7 g.
