Jaydee models Jonathan Dewar is proud to present Cleopatra, the white edition, a 1/4 scale sculpture limited to 150 resin casts signed and numbered.



When I approached the subject of sculpting Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, I wanted to take a step away from the iconic images often used to portray her, from the legendary movie starring Elizabeth Taylor to paintings and statues.

At the time researched her there didn't seem to be much in the way concrete information about Cleopatra, and facts and theories seemed to vary from one source to another.

So I decided early on that the most important driving force of this sculpture would be to create something elegant and beautiful, that has a feel of egyptian culture mixed with myth and mystery.



For her look I went for a strong and sensual beauty, holding a cape gently swaying around her body, with a feeling of desire and confidence that one would expect from the Queen of Egypt.

She's kneeling on a luxurious quilted throne, four egyptian cats seem to stand guard around the base, she's enticing her onlooker with the promise of passion.



Cleopatra comes with golden armour and a crown, truly making this figure beautiful, the armour and Crown are removeable for a more classical look if preferred, both variations really add something special to this sculpture.
