This impressive ring is set with a certificated, natural, earth-mined emerald-cut diamond, weighing a considerable 1.00 carat.
This diamond is of exceptional white colour D, which means that it is the most perfect white colour possible. Its colour could not be improved upon and this is the highest colour-grade that any diamond can be awarded.
It is of perfect Internally Flawless (IF) clarity. Therefore, it is a totally transparent diamond, which is completely free of inclusions. This is the highest possible diamond clarity-grade. (Please see charts below for further information on colour and clarity.)
With an emerald-cut diamond, try to buy the best quality stone that you can afford. This is because the "openness" of the cut gives a clear view straight into the stone. Due to its elongated lines, an emerald-cut diamond displays broad and dramatic flashes of light. It also gives a most elegant and sophisticated air to a ring.
This diamond’s finish is graded as Very Good. In addition to a diamond's colour, clarity and carat-weight, its finish grade will also make an enormous difference to its overall brilliance and lustre.
The shoulders are set in tiers, with 3 pairs of emerald-cut diamonds, of approximate D / IF quality. Together, these shoulder diamonds weigh a total of 0.45 carat. They make a truly stunning frame for the central diamond.
The shank is heavily-made of solid, fully-hallmarked platinum 950, the noblest of the precious metals. When you wear platinum, the other precious metals fade in significance: It is non-allergenic and has a density and richness that is second-to-none. Its natural whiteness is permanent, requiring no maintenance whatsoever. This ring is currently a UK size N (USA size 7), but could easily be re-sized to fit, if neccessary.
This ring is just as splendid as it sounds. It is a divine combination of the most perfect raw materials and elegant design. It is hard to resist the hypnotic effect of a diamond with D colour and internally flawless clarity. Add to that, a solid platinum shank and you couldn't possibly ask for more. The ring comes complete with diamond certification from EDR. EDR's fully-equipped, state of the art, diamond grading laboratory is based in London. An EDR diamond certificate guarantees that the gemstone examined is a natural diamond. It contains a description of the diamond, including details of: carat-weight, colour, clarity, cut and finish. The EDR diamond certificate supplied with this ring states that the diamond is of the quality indicated above.
An appraisal for insurance purposes is also supplied, which values the ring at £15,800.
