Original Vintage Jefferson Electric CO Clock named " Contemporaire" this clock dates to 1956, it is not running and I believe it originally had a red second sweep hand,it looks like the nut that is now holds the hands is not original, but I am really no expert so please look at the photos to help you decide, there is rust on the rod that holds the hands; the clocks hands and little round digits standing in for numeral are similar to George Nelson designs at that time, and even of that town, Zeeland Michigan there is some questions as to his involvement with the design of this clock, some say he did and others he didn't ; so  you can google it, its very interesting, the clock has a mahogany case and 2 brass or brass tone bent rods that form the legs of the clock also same brass or brass tone front plate ,  there is wear to the clock and a few of the tiny screws in the back are missing, It looked like someone turned the back board up side down so I fixed that., the motor looked very clean, again doesn't seem to work, an edge of the interior wood that holds the back has been cracked from the screw, although you can not see that when the back board is on, Approx size 12 x 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 approx. 13 1/4 wide with legs. Item is being sold as-is ,the last photo shows clock with some of the other items I have listed, this auction is for clock only, so please check out my other listings  please email with any questions , thank you for looking
