A stunning necklace of Venetian aventurine fancy trade beads. The beads are every colour of the rainbow with swirling aventurine feathers, and matt, just like the ones at the end of Sybille Jargstorf's book "Glass Beads from Europe.". These fancy beads date to the mid to late 1800s, the Victorian period, and were made in Venice.
The necklace measures 26 inches, that's 66cm, with the central feather bead 26mm in length. The beads are in excellent condition, with a few beads with hairlines.
The beads are newly re-knotted with no clasp, they simply pop over your head.
These are rare beads with stunning decoration. Don't miss them for your collection!
