I am selling my Leica II F BODY ONLY (with original metal body cap) reluctantly as well as other Leica cameras and lenses (listed separately) from my Leica collection.
It it is in great working condition, vintage (1951), over 64 years old and still working precisely.
The Leica II F was introduced in 1951 and production terminated in 1956.
The camera is basically same as a III F with the slow shutter speeds omited, their location being covered by a circular vulcanite trim. It also features a built-in flash sync for electronic and expandable flash units.
It also features a film type indicator built in the rewinding knob. The cameras were in chrome finish. Codeword LUOON.
CAMERAS MADE IN 1951, limited model numbers between 451001 and 455000 and those made in 1952 with serial numbers from 570001 to 574400, have a "Black Dial" with flash sync figures in black. This is a rarer BLACK DIAL 1951 body.
Totally 100% original, not restored but well looked after and regularly serviced, with the shutter curtains running smoothly, and every speed still operating precisely, I have tested and used this camera with various Leica screw lenses and it gives remarkable good results. This is a fine authentic original example.
This Leica has been successfully checked recently by "Red Dot Cameras" in London . (Shutter/curtains/speeds all operates perfectly).
This Leica IIf is in SUPERB mechanical condition. The pictures shown have not been retouched.
