A rare and unusual boxed set of architects / draughtsmans copper stencils, entitled 'The Stensign' made by H. Cowley & Son, London, which I believe date from the 1920s or 30s. The style of the letters is fabulously art deco.

The contents of the box are photographed all together and then individually in sets. The ruler in the photos gives an idea of scale. If you require more specific measurements please just ask.

The box contains 4 alphabets, 4 number sets, 2 sheets of decorative borders, corners etc., 4 sheets of fractions and monetary symbols and 6 unused copper sheets. Also contained in the box are 6 colour print pads, and the instructions for use are fixed to the inside of the lid.

The tin box measures 12" x 7 1/2" x 1".
