Item & Condition
A beautiful antique Brooch Watch. The maker is unknown; the movment is a Swiss Pery 17-jewel type, from 1890. The manufacturer of the movement is Pery Watch Company. The watch casing is a custom work, few of this type are known to exist.
The watch measures 2.25” in height, with a 1/2” base. There are three genuine diamonds, and nine ruby-colored stones, which tested as glass crystal rather than natural.
Total weight is 23 grams. The marjority of this weight comes from the solid 14k gold setting. The only part that is not gold is the watch movement itself, the glass face, and the precious jewel/crystal stones. The gold is electronically tested to avoid unwanted rubbing/shaving to the top layers of the material. The piece has a light patina but is unrestored and offered in the condition it has been preserved. There are some surface scratches, and light wear to the piece. the exterior glass shows some micro-sized nicks.
The watch has an inscription as well, visible only on the removable back panel piece. (see photos).
