I am offering an original full page dating from 1923, showing an advert for Buchanan's Black & White and Red Seal Scotch Whisky with the trademark dog illustration. This comes from the August 11th 1923 issue of "The Illustrated London News". Before the company decided on the Scottie and Westie as branding for their whisky, they used all sorts of different dogs to promote the breed - often commissioning paintings from the top animal painters of the day, such as here with Maud Earl. This item is guaranteed as genuine and being approaching 100 years old.
