Count of the Militia of the generality of Poitiers for Sir Francis Knight Monjeon
Louis by the grace of God, King of France and Navarre,
To our dear and beloved Captain François Chevalier MONTJON, Hi. The company which was provided Captain Mallet in Fontenay le Comte Battalion of the Militia of our generality of Poitiers is now vacant by his neglect and wishing to fill someone who can get good pay; we estimated we could not do for this purpose, a better choice than you for the services you have rendered us all the opportunities that are presented, where you have given proof of your worth, courage, experience in the war, vigilance and good conduct, and loyalty and affection to our service. In these cases and others that we move we made you, ordained and established, commit, do ordain and establish by these presents, signed with our hand, Captain of the Company as vacant says above, which you order, and will drive exploiterez under our control and under that of our Lieutenant Generals ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 
The part and so it will be by us or Them commanded, ordered for our service. And we will pay you, all the officers, sergeants and soldiers of the said company, states, appointments and balances and that will be due to them , according to watches and journals that will be made ​​by the Commissioners and Advisers Wars to divested , so much so that at length said Company will be established to our service. Hand holding her to live in such good order and police, than we can receive complaints. Thereby give you power, commission, authority and special command.
