You are bidding on a H16 Bolex REX reflex 16mm camera (SN# 148354) made in 1956. The camera is in great working condition and has been converted to wider frame of the super 16mm. The viewer has been converted from the 6X to the larger enhanced optics to give a 10X image. Also, the reticle mask has been modified to match the super 16mm aspect ration.

NOTE: I did consider the 13X optics but the our final conclusion was that the image was too large and hard on the eye. We had over achieved, so we reduced the magnification to yield a more pleasent yet larger viewer image.

Now your projects can be shot on a wider screen format with almost 20% more resolution by being able to use more of the film. This camera has been tested, shot some 16mm 1R 200T 7293 film stock. The results were good! I timed camera with a full wind and a full load of film and set at 24 FPS... RUN TIME: 27 sec. + - one second…NOTE: on the last few seconds you can detect a slowing down FYI. All the glass/view finder are clean and clear of fungus.

NOTE: During the conversion process the camera was serviced and lubricated and tested by Dr.Bolex Camera Service within the past 2 months.  Please feel free to ask about any details.

GOOD LUCK BIDDERS!!!
