COPELAND (SPODE) ENGLAND PLATE HAND PAINTED By WILLIAM YALE RAISED GOLD ENCRUSTED JEWELED FISH SCENIC CREAM WHITE, CHINA CABINET DINNER PLATE , DISPLAY WORTHY SPECIAL COLLECTABLE  ART PLATE.  Marked  "W. T. COPELAND & SONS Established 1770" and signed by artist "W Yale" for famous Artist William (Billy) Yale. William (Billy) Yale was born in Newport, Shropshire in 1843. He was employed by Copeland from c.1869-83, where he was known for painting marine views and winter scenes. Also marked that it was made "DAVIS COLLAMORE & Co. 921 BROADWAY NEW YORK".   9 1/2 inches wide; wonderful, excellent apparently unused condition, "as new"; no cracks, chips, or crazing.
