Here we have a stunning piece of East German film camera technology. The camera body is in great condition and the lens is in great condition. It is film tested and is ready.
The Camera - is beautiful example of timeless piece of East German photographic engineering. This camera has been fully film tested. I have uploaded some of the photographs I recently took on this camera for you to see the quality it produces. Everything works on this camera. The shutter is fine and as a solid feel to it. The film lever moves the film on and returns to its start position with no problems. The lens close down lever works and so does the self-timer works. The light meter works and responds well. As with a lot of these cameras, as to exactness, it will account to a little trial and error, however as you can see the exposure is correct; judging by the photos produced. I find silver oxide batteries to work very well in these cameras not the alkaline type. All shutter speeds work and the ASA/ISO dial moves nicely between all settings. A new battery has been installed into the camera, so there will be no issues with the light meter and all the body work as had all the grim of its past life cleaned leaving the leatherette in stunning condition.
The Lens - This was tested with a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 2.8/50 zebra, which is include with this sale. The lens is excellent and really looks stunning on the front of this camera. The focusing ring moves smoothly. It as the usual little stiffness that these lens are prone to but nothing to worry to much about. The aperture ring moves between all aperture settings, clicking in the normal manner. There is nothing more to say about this camera other than it is in brilliant condition and still as a lot of life left in it proving these cameras were well built to work and last.
The Case - is a good hard impact case and is in good condition. It does have a little interior damage to the soft material, due to the top of the camera catching it on the inside. However this is nothing to worry about and is just cosmetic.
