Vintage Shakespeare Wonderod Fly Fishing Rod FY-170-DGL 8'6"

This is a two piece Shakespeare Wonderod Fly Fishing rod. Model FY-170-DGL. Action Taper design for all purpose use. Rod is 8'6" in length and dates to November 1974. Rod will handle a 7-8 weight line. 3 3/4" aluminum sliding hood ring locking fly reel seat. 6 3/4" specie cork grip. Stainless steel stripper guide, four stainless steel snake guides and a stainless tip top. Rolled aluminum ferrules. Blade is goldenrod yellow with dark blue nylon guide winds extended. Specie cork has been cleaned and reconditioned. Rod has been cleaned with guide winds receiving a fresh coat of premium glass rod varnish. Comes with a single compartment clear plastic rod bag and a brown fiber rod storage tube.
