ITEM DESCRIPTION

Today we are pleased to offer this important first edition volume by quintessential transcendentalist author Ralph Waldo Emerson!

This antique volume is over 147 years old!

This scarce antique volume is in GOOD condition for its age!  Not a common volume to find in any condition!

Fine green cloth hardcover binding shows moderate wear but presents nicely overall!  Front and back boards show moderate wear for age; corners are heavily bumped; page edges are clean with just minor spotting; spine presents nicely from the shelf with heavy rubbing and wear to the extremities; some lean to the spine.  A fine addition to any shelf!  Please see the photos above for complete details!

Internally sound overall with a strong binding.  Some evidence of cracking to the hinges.  “No. 916” written on the front free fly page, perhaps by the publisher.  The text block itself is in Good condition throughout.  Pages show some light toning from age but are otherwise free from rips, tears, writing and markings.  Some very light spots of scattered foxing, but otherwise nicely preserved!

Not a common volume!  Nicely preserved!

A perfect addition to any fine collection or a wonderful gift for someone special!

30 pages.  Measures approximately 7 1/4 inches tall by 4 3/4 inches wide.
