This is a super cute tin "Cubby the Reading Bear" wind up toy made in the 1950's in Japan by ALPS. The bear is 7 inches tall and is made of tin, plush, and material. The toy is in terrific condition, very clean with bright colors and very little wear to speak of. The box is in excellent condition with a little bit of age wear in terms of creasing, but is still strong, sturdy, bright and colorful with no rips or missing pieces. The toy is in perfect working condition and the windup mechanism is strong. The bear moves his right hand up and down, lifting pages and flipping through the tiny metal book, while his head bobs up and down ~ very nice to see in action. The little metal book is removable. Please view all of the pictures to see condition.

This is a classic wind-up toy that is a must for any serious toy collector.

All of our items are packed very carefully with plenty of bubble wrap and styrofoam chips to ensure its safe delivery.
