LIVE STEAM MODEL BEAM ENGINE, STATIONARY ANTIQUE.

A lovely model built by W.S. Richards in 1971 (Hawgan, Helston). The Model has been engineered to a high standard with clear attention to detail. It has been constructed on a nice wooden plinth with a 6cm high brass fence enclosing the Model. Mechanically the engine is fine, it turns over freely and I have successfully had it running on air (though not steam), to make it run a bit better a bit of lubrication would not go a miss.

The cylinder is fitted with a brass oiler, exhaust and inlet manifold with regulator making for a lovely looking build.

Overall, it would make a very nice display piece or alternatively could be added to a workshop accessory model board.

Measurements are as follows:

Base measures- 45.5cm by 26cm

Overall height- 32cm

Flywheel diameter- 17.5cm

Cylinder diameter- 4cm

Stroke- 5cm
