Very rare SILVER novelty WINE DECANTER, 1896 Heath & Middleton CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE

DESCRIPTION:  "Champagne Bottle"

HALLMARKS:  Birmingham 1896 by Heath & Middleton

MEASUREMENTS: 33.3cm high; 9cm diameter

We are pleased to be offering this late Victorian silver mounted clear glass decanter in the form of a champagne bottle with a hinged 'cork' cover.

The silver sleeve simulates the foil on a champagne bottle and both it and the cover are fully hallmarked for Heath and Middleton who specialised in making this form of rare decanter.

This example is in fine condition with original sealing cork within the "cork" cover.

A great novelty piece in fine condition.
