The best-selling and highly collectable author Astrid Lindgren is best known for her classic 'Pippi Longstocking' and other stories. A rare early one in the series was 1947's 'Do You Know Pippi Longstocking?' not issued in the UK until 1999 with Ingrid Vang Nyman's illustrations as an R & S hardback.
