from our pet and smoke free home,  it has been on

our ceiling for 45 years with two 75 watt bulbs.  All parts

and pieces are original,  everything works fine;  just have

it connected.  I think it is called "flush mount"   --   I think it

 is considered "retro"  but I am not sure.  One owner ever

in one room ever  -  nice looking while giving plenty of

 comfortable light.    When mounted,  Walnut Brown drop is

4" from ceiling and 10" at widest.   Very pretty in very good
