I'm passionate about model trains and I take great pride
in accurately describing the condition of the items I have for sale.
I try my best to inspect them and list any issues I see, and while I
wouldn't call myself a "rivet counter" I am fairly picky
about the condition of things. I would much rather list all the flaws
and get less money than get more and end up disappointing someone
when it arrives. I'm a buyer too and there's nothing more frustrating
than receiving something that's in worse shape than you thought it
was. But all that said, I'm not perfect and I may not always notice
everything. Please use the photos as part of the description and
bid/buy accordingly. Also feel free to get in touch with any
questions, I'm always happy to help!

Shipping
I'm happy to offer free
combined shipping on any of my items unless otherwise noted,
just pay the highest priced one and shipping for all the rest are on
me! If checkout does not automatically reflect this, please request
an updated total before paying. Please do not just pay the
wrong shipping price and expect a refund, eBay makes you phone them
to get the extra fees back!
Kingston / Perth / Carleton
Place / Smith's Falls / Brockville (Ontario) area delivery possible
as well, please get in touch for more info if you're in or near these
areas.
High shipping prices suck, I totally get that. But
shipping things across the country or continent is expensive and
that's completely out of my control. When you see a $28 shipping
price (if you're in the States) for one locomotive or freight car, in
most cases it really does cost me that much (or more) to ship it to
you. To start with eBay & PayPal fees take $3.64 of that right
off the top (yup there are 10% eBay fees on the shipping portion too,
sadly, most likely because people were trying to game the system with
$1 items and $100 shipping to avoid paying fees), so that $28 is now
$24.36. That might or might not be enough to cover the actual
shipping cost I have to pay (a 16x8x8" box to the States costs
$24 and change even with a modest discount), but even if it is that
still doesn't cover the box, packing materials, tape, paper, ink, and
transportation to the post office (20 mins drive round trip if I
don't happen to be out and about already). For Canada it's even more
volatile because the weight and distance impacts it greatly. If
you're in province it'll be less and you'll probably be mad at me for
overcharging, and if you're on the other side of the country or
somewhere remote it'll be a lot more and I'll be out of pocket the
extra, so either way I lose. I do not provide refunds if the actual
price was less, nor do I seek additional money if it was more, I've
come up with a flat rate (finding a specific box for each item in
advance of listing it, then weighing and measuring it and entering
all of that into the listing is not how I wish to spend my evenings
and weekends!) that I hope will average out and that's what I charge.
In many cases (but not always, it depends what I have available at
the moment) I actually buy brand new boxes, and I take great care
packing and shipping things to give them the best chance of arriving
in the same condition they left. My eBay strategy does not include
trying to make money on the shipping portion, only to actually cover
my costs to ship the items. If you do not agree with the price you
see for shipping, kindly do not bid/buy. It really isn't fair (in my
opinion anyways) to be rated poorly for "unreasonable"
shipping prices after the fact when you knew exactly what it was from
the start.

Please see my other
listings, lots of other HO model train stuff for sale and more listed
all the time.
Feel free to ask if you're looking to
combine things to save on shipping to see what else I might have
available. I have a fairly large collection and a good chunk of it
I'm willing to part with but haven't necessarily advertised yet.
Thanks for your interest in my items for sale. Any
questions/comments/concerns please feel free to get in touch!
