Pick 232ar   Clydesdale Bank REPLACEMENT £20 note in GVF condition.

  

The note is dated 11 July 2009, measures 5 7/8” x 3¼” and has the facsimile signature of David Thorburn as Chief Operating Officer. 

 

The note is from the new 'World Heritage Site' series of Clydesdale Bank plc notes, first issued in 2009. 

 

On the obverse is Robert the Bruce, who was on the Scottish Throne as King Robert I from 1306 –1329, during which time he led the Scots to victory against the English at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. Behind him is the Scottish battle pennant. 

 

The reverse shows an image of New Lanark, one of the 'World Heritage Sites' in Scotland.  

 

The watermark is of Robert the Bruce.
