The NEX 6 is one of the latest incantations out of the Sony NEX line up. It was released in late 2012 and sits nicely in features and price between the 5N and 7, looking more like the latter. To sum up the entire NEX line, you get “HD Video capable aps-c sensors in a small body”. Responding to consumer desire for a smaller camera with DSLR type image quality, the incredibly successful NEX system was born.
This 16.1 MP NEX 6 camera body (S/N 06150xx) is in near mint condition. The rear LCD has just a few extremely light marks to it, only noted upon very close inspection and not noticed when the screen is lit, and the rest of the robust camera body is immaculate….not a scratch on it; this one is a beauty. With the low shutter count of just under 5200 actuations and near pristine cosmetics, you are getting a near new camera that will last for years to come.
Included with this NEX 6 camera body is a body cap, strap, AC charger, OEM NP-FW50 Infolithium battery, USB cable, and all packaging. Original manuals and OEM Sony software CD also included.

What sets the NEX series apart from other manufacturers producing miniaturized style cameras is its use of high quality aps-c sized sensors for fantastic image quality….just like a DSLR. And manufactured with metal sheathed bodies – incredible build in today’s plastic driven market. The NEX 6 is made of lightweight and durable magnesium alloy and feels solid in your hands with a fantastic build.
Just to be clear, these e-mount bodies and lenses are a different mount from the Sony Alpha DSLRs and SLTs I sell, but the alpha mount lenses can be used on a NEX with an LE-Ax adapter.
Features of the NEX 6 include a 16.1 MP aps-c sensor, all shooting, scene and exposure modes found in the larger Sony Alpha cameras, including Panorama and Hand Held Night Shot, ISO to 25600, Fast Hybrid AF for optimal fast and precise autofocus, DRO and HDR Auto, 10 fps continuous shooting in speed priority, self timer, flash modes and so on. Other highlights include a mode dial, two control wheels, a dual-axis electronic level gauge, XGA OLED Tru-Finder, Wi-Fi connectivity, PlayMemories Camera apps, a built-in flash and new Multi Interface Shoe. The XGA viewfinder is identical to the NEX 7’s and is top notch. These cameras just keep getting better with each successive generation.
Of course the NEX 6 also has full 1080p AVCHD video capability.
With a pancake lens attached, the NEX will fit in your pocket and even if you already own a full sized kit, there are times when this is a real convenience, especially with all the conveniences of a mid line DSLR included in the package. After all, the best camera you own is the one you carry with you.

I have inspected and cleaned the sensor so you are starting fresh with no dust spots on your images. Most sellers on eBay do not do this and as a result, a purchased camera could need a professional cleaning upon receipt, but not here in my store.

Shipping is through Canada Post’s air and ground parcel service and is generally very reliable. Canadian packages include tracking and $100 CAD insurance.
