This PVC Shakuhachi flute is a 5 hole, 56cm long in the key of C# pentatonic scale. This flute is also covered with in a vinyl wrap to make it a little more pleasing to the eye.

I make these PVC Shakuhachi flutes myself specifically for when I travel or when I am hiking or cycling. This is a less expensive and lighter alternative to bamboo flutes. They are extremely light to carry and great for travelling. I have found these complement meditation and zazen practice very well and being able to play outside in all conditions is one of life’s great pleasures.

If you are new to Shakuhachi these flutes are a good start. Like all instruments they are a challenge in the beginning, but progression is based on practice. To help you learn there are lots of videos on youtube or a search on the net will reveal plenty of information out there.
