The LCD screen is bright and clear and buttons are responsive. The battery does hold a charge, but we cannot guarantee the life remaining of it. This unit successfully records video using our in-house DV tape (NOT INCLUDED). The tape mechanism does take about 30 seconds to get ready, but it does come to a ready status for recording or playback. The lenses are clean, clear, and scratch-free. Operation hours: 990. Drum hours: 310. Tape hours: 190. Threading: 1360. There are some grinding marks at the battery bay, but this does not affect functionality. Please note that there is no pop filter for the microphone.
