A small outline dual inline memory module (SODIMM) consists of a number of memory components (usually black) that are attached to a printed circuit board (usually green). SODIMMs get their name because they are smaller and thinner than regular DIMMs. The gold pins on the bottom of the SODIMM provide a connection between the module and a socket on a larger printed circuit board. The pins on the front and back of a SODIMM are not connected.

200-pin SODIMMs are used to provide DDR and DDR2 SDRAM memory for notebook computers. 200-pin SODIMMs are available in PC2700 DDR SDRAM, PC3200 DDR SDRAM, DDR2 PC2-6400 SDRAM, DDR2 PC2-5300 SDRAM, DDR2 PC2-4200 SDRAM and DDR2 PC2-3200 SDRAM. To use DDR or DDR2 memory, your system motherboard must have 200-pin SODIMM slots and a DDR- or DDR2-enabled chipset. A DDR or DDR2 SODIMM will not fit into a standard SDRAM SODIMM socket.



NON-ECC/Non-parity — Most desktop and laptop computers take NON-ECC or Non-parity memory.

ECC/Parity — ECC or parity modules look for errors in data and are most often found in servers and other mission-critical applications used by large networks and businesses.

Unbuffered — Most PCs and workstations use unbuffered memory which is faster than registered memory.

Registered/Buffered — Registered or buffered modules delay all information transferred to the module by one clock cycle. This type of memory is primarily used in servers.

Fully buffered — Designed for next-generation servers, features an advanced memory buffer.

CL — CAS (column address strobe) latency, which is the number of clock cycles it takes before data starts to flow after a command is received. Lower CL is faster. Modules with different CL can be mixed on a system, but the system will only run at the highest (slowest) CL.

Component configuration — (For example: 64Meg x 64) Indicates the size of the memory chip components on the module.

Voltage — For example 2.6V. Indicates the power used by the module. The lower the better.

1.What is your return policy?
We will accept items return within 30 days of receipt. Customers don`t have to provide any explanations or reasons why items is returning back. After 30 days, only faulty items will be accepted for return.

2.Do you combine shipping?

3.When can I expect my order to arrive?

5.Do you ship internationally?
Yes. But only to European Union.

6.Why doesn't my Windows® PC recognize the whole 4GB of memory I installed?
Due to the limitation of Windows 32-bit operating system, when more than 4GB of physical memory is installed, the actual memory available for the operating system will be less than 4GB; Windows 64-bit operating system doesn't have such limitation.

7.After adding memory I get an error message and my PC won't boot. Why?
This error message is consistent with a couple of problems. The most common is that when reaching to install your memory, you accidentally bumped a cable (perhaps a hard drive cable).The first thing we suggest is to reseat all the cables in your computer, this includes the cable to the hard drive and hard drive power.

8.My computer uses PC2700 (DDR333). Can I use PC3200 (DDR400)?
DDR memory was designed to be backward compatible so generally speaking, you can safely add faster memory to your computer. For example, you can install a PC3200 DDR module in a computer that calls for PC2700 DDR.However, keep in mind that faster memory will not necessarily make your system faster.

9.I have just upgraded my RAM. Why does Windows say I'm out of memory?
If are running Windows 95, 98, 98SE, or ME, you may not have enough cache to handle all of your memory. Solutions to this problem can be found at Microsoft's Web site: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q253912/

10.Do I have to buy the same size upgrade as the memory module currently installed in my computer or can I mix different sizes?
You can use modules of different densities with no problem. For example, if your computer came with a 128MB memory module, you can add a 256MB module for a total of 384MB RAM. But if you have a "dual-channel" system and want to take advantage of that technology, you will need to ensure that the modules in each memory slot are the same density.
