Epson Stylus Color 1520

If your Stylus 1520 has unexpectedly stopped working, display lights are flashing  or you have received the error message

“Why do I get this problem?”
 
When the printer performs head cleaning, it flushes ink into a waste pad. There is a container at the bottom of your printer that has a sponge to absorb ink. Of course, the sponge has a limited capacity to absorb ink.

The printer will “count” the amount of ink flows to waste pad everytime you perform a head clean. Once the counter reaches a pre-defined limit the printer will refuse to print. The sponge though is not saturated yet. The manufacturers allow a lot of room for error.

It has also been used by them as a significant source of after sales revenue, charging a minimum of around $50 via their 'Service Centers' just to look at your old Epson, before usually advising that a new printer is the 'cost-effective' option.


What you can do now? You have 2 options:

1: Buy a new printer
2: Reset the Waste Counter on your old one


Save yourself time and money and purchase this reset disc, you'll be able to reset from the comfort of your home office now, and in the future when it happens again!
