Thank you for taking the time to look at my 1972 MGB GT. The engine has a Stage 2 head and the car has been fitted with RV8 style fibre glass body kit and resprayed in Hyundai Cobalt Blue (code LE).
The car has a 1998cc unleaded engine with a stage 2 head which has recently been serviced and tuned. It has covered 18,300 miles in the last 12 years ago since the car was rebuilt. The car has a standard MG overdrive gearbox which works perfectly, it is fitted with standard lumenition electronic ignition and has a nice throaty sports sound from the exhaust.
The car has been fitted with an RV8 body kit from the John Hills range. The kit includes front wings, front and rear valances/bumpers, bonnet, rear wings and side skirts. Work was carried out by the previous owner 12 years ago. Overall the body work and paint are in good condition, however, there are some blemishes that need may attention, including some (settlement) cracks where the fibreglass meets another panel. I have tried to photograph and show some of these blemishes, but the pictures do not show them up very well, as seen in last picture next to the MG badge.
The interior is in excellent condition. The seats are from the John Hills range and are finished in vinyl and velour in pale grey, with the carpets matching the seats. There are no plus 2 rear seats which gives excellent boot space. This could be changed back if the new owner wished to. There is a Webasto style sunroof in black and also a 'MOMO' style steering wheel. The cigarette lighter is fitted but not connected. The heater works but the switch needs adjusting.
The car has been reliable and has just been fitted with a new battery and has 'Minilite' style alloy wheels which are all in good condition with no curbing and 4 good tyres. Overall the car looks and sounds good and always gets positive comments from people who see it.
The car is tax exempt and has an MOT until August 2012 and a taxed until August 2012, it is of course payment exempt.
