Made of heavily laid GRP, supplied in black Gel coat ready to be painted. This is a shortened version of the original rear mudguard. By using a replacement part you don't have to butcher the original, it's always nice to keep the original parts. Another benefit is that all of the raised bumps and holes for the original large and ugly rear light have been removed so the Lucas style rear light fits properly. You will need to wire up and earth the light, the easiest way is to use the loom from the old mudguard so that you can use the original plug. I can also supply the mudguard pre painted for an additional £60 in most solid colours. Some colours cost a bit more, please ask for details, fitting instructions are available.
A great deal of time and effort has been put into this panel to get the curve of the "chop" just right, other panels of this type are just cut straight across giving the just "hacked off look". The lower rib has also been left on as this helps the numberplate sit at the correct angle, I find that a slightly smaller number plate looks much neater than the original barn door size. When fitted you would not know that this was not the original design as it looks so right.
The "chop" has also been designed so you can either use your original indicators and brackets or leave them off and fit something totaly different. This gets arount the problem of flaky chrome on the rear brackets.
