Featured in this auction is a LARGE and HEAVY lovely set of two figurines: a courtship. The lad is holding the right hand of the lady in a sign of declaration and about to place a ring he is holding on his right hand. The lady looks flattered and happy. This is a hand-painted porcelain figurine set made in Ireland. This is a very collectable item that will definitely stand-out in your collection of works of art! This is a magnificent work of art that will never be available again! The pictures do not do full justice, but reveal to some extent the magnificence of this work of art. This is truly an opportunity for the serious collector of porcelain art.
Estimated Age: early 20th Century – Irish provenance. This item is fully marked and numbered at the bottom.
Dimensions: 12.5” tall, 10” long and 5” wide.
Condition: Very good condition (commensurate with the age of this items): one of the fingers of the right hand of the lady is broken; one of the dove’s right wing is broken; there are a couple of small nicks on the tree that is behind the lad; minor chips in some of the flowers (truly had to be noticed!); colours are mate and pastel tone, as seen in pictures!
Please note that all of my items are antique or vintage. Therefore you should not expect to have a new look or in perfect condition items. These items are from the past and do have a history. Part of their beauty is the history behind each of them and the fact that they are living treasures from the past that have managed to survive.
