This firmware addresses more issues found in previous version units as well as updates the units to Revision "J" Part number. I have tested this firmware on my own Version G unit and all I can say is that I'm pleased with improved screen response and GPS tracking improvements, as well as Sirius Radio quality improvement.

There are sellers out there that sell this unit under $1800.00 mark, but I would question the source of those units as selling on ebay makes that price almost impossible to achieve with legitimate sources. As they say "You get what you pay for" Over 900 Units were stolen recently from Factory in Mexico so when you do show up at the dealer and your car gets flagged with stolen Radio Unit, who will you blame.

Here comes the possibility to own best of the best Navigation units for Volkswagen Vehicles. This is OEM unit that Volkswagen installs in factory in their vehicles. This isn't some cheap Chinese replica. Buy with confidence that you will receive Genuine Original Equipment Manufactured for VW.

This is The US Version of the unit with Sirius Tuner built-in and HD Radio built in. Brand New Revision G Hardware with 2TB SDXC Card compatibility enabled. Hardware revision is G and software version is SW4366 
Units are Brand new from the Continental Group manufacturer that are produced in Czech Republic for VW.

Until Car Models years up to 2009, this was the optional Upgrade for all of them. Starting 2010 The car maker found a cheaper solution that can be installed, but some features had to be removed from it. RNS-315 came in to replace more expensive feature packed RNS-510. The only car RNS-510 can be ordered with as an option is Passat and CC. Golf, Jetta, EOS, Tiguan are all now being shipped with RNS-315 if you choose Navigation option as the Car maker wants to save funds on this unit but still charge same price for upgrading to Navigation Package.

Don't be fooled, order the real thing now and see the difference that most of Enthusiast talk about.

*** Unlike RNS-510 Unit, the RNS-315 Lacks the following features that RNS-510 has.

*** 1. It does not have a Hard Drive for Music storage.

*** 2. The Screen Resolution is half of the RNS-510 and Screen is about 1.2" smaller than RNS-510 - This is the biggest Drawback as smaller screen and lower     resolution really make night and day difference.

*** 3. RNS-315 Lacks HD-Tuner, that means no HD-Radio for you guys unless you have RNS-510

*** 4. RNS-315 has No Traffic reports directly on your map, along with Sirius Travel Link (FW 3690 and above units only!!! )

Now with Software 4366 and within last months of 2012.

Firmware 4366 Has Sirius Travel Link and Weather Reports built into the unit via Sirius subscription, also Road Conditions, gas prices and local news.

A very nice refresh that sets this unit far apart from Firmware 2625 based units!!!!!!!! And huge bug fix list from Firmware 3696

For those that might be asking why the price changes so often, the answer is that all units are purchased from Germany's warehouse using EURO currency, and depending on the exchange rate the price differs. Euro has been going up so that is why the price went up in the past months. Also new eBay fees/rules have been taken into consideration when pricing these items in store.

Warranty and Exchange/Return Policy

If there are any issues with your unit, (Very Unlikely) Please send the unit back to me either for an exchange or full refund.

Keep in mind that you have to insure the parcel for full amount and you need to make sure it is packaged very well and supported during transit.

I recently received damaged unit that was not insured and not packaged properly and was damaged during return process.

It is EURO Version which lacks HD Tuner, Sirius Tuner and on top of it you will not be able to search your locations on Navigation mode via ZIP CODE!!!!!

3C0 035 684E/F and 3C8 035 684E/F  - End of 2011/Early 2012 RNS-510 Release unit. (Current Firmware is 3690. Voice Command enabled. Faster onboard Processor. Super quick and fresh GUI, SIRIUS Travel  Link. New Firmware. 40GB Hard Drive. HD Radio Text support, Navteq Maps 4M required on this unit. This is the biggest improvment on top of Version C unit. Compatible with up to 2TB SDXC cards!!!!!!

3C0 035 684G - Latest 2012 Summer release RNS-510. Same set of features, but factory firmware now is 4366 with some bug fixes and future firmware upgrades. All Version G units are manufactured starting end of June 2012. Version G is the fastest functioning RNS-510 manufactured to date. (For those that were complaining about lag on menus before, you can now forget the past).
