Dimensions: 14 inches (36 cm) tall (11 inches tall sitting - 28 cm). Teddy weighs over 3/4 lb (.36 kg) before packaging.
Condition: Fair to Good pre-owned Vintage. No stains, minor fading, no soiling, damage/hole to top of one arm & just underneath same arm with poor stitch repair. Arm still rotates fine. Made from dark gold distressed mohair plush, amber plastic eyes, black stitched nose. He is fully jointed. Working squeaker. Original yellow side seam label with fighting dogs logo & "Made in Great Britain". Some fraying to label. Being sold "as is" due to arm damage.
Dean's Rag Book Co Ltd was founded in London England in 1903 by Henry Samuel Dean. The first catalogued Teddy Bears were sold under the name Kuddlemee in 1915. In 1922 the first teddy bears were produced with the Dean's logo and the tradename A1 Toy was registered. In 1956 the subsidiary "Childsplay" was formed to manufacture soft toys. In 1965 the name was changed to Dean's Childsplay Toys Ltd. In 1972 the company merged with Gwentoys and became Dean's/Gwentoys Group. In 1974 some production moved to the Gwentoys factory in Partypool and all production was moved by 1980, closing their Rye Sussex factory. In 1986 the import company Plaintalk took over and the name became The Dean's Company (1903) Ltd. In 1988 the company liquidated and Dean's managing director Neil Miller performed a buy out and in 1990 he also purchased the original Dean's Rag Book Co Ltd name and logo. Dean's began production for the collectors market in 1991 using old patterns and the new resurrected Rag Book fighting dogs logo on their labels. In 1994 the Dean's collector's club was launched. They still produce today!

All Cdn shipments go via Expedited Parcel. Expedited Parcel to the USA takes about 6 to 10 days WITH tracking!! All overseas parcels ship via Airmail Small Packet and can take 2 to 6 weeks depending on destination.
