The chainsaw: a tool that conjures up negative images in many people’s minds. Many see it as cumbersome, difficult to manoeuvre, environmentally unfriendly and, in some cases, dangerous. So instead many people spend hours hacking away with their old fashioned, manual saws when cutting firewood or tree branches, making the task joyless and frustrating.

Well, this no longer has to be the case. The FlexiSaw is a great new product which can solve any of your cutting needs. Its flexible blade allows it to be easily manoeuvred without any of its cutting ability being comprised. Quite the opposite, in fact- its solid steel chain and diamond teeth blades mean that it can cut three times faster than a regular manual saw whilst at the same time being far more lightweight and portable.

The FlexiSaw operates very simply; simply wrap the blade around the object you wish to cut, pull the saw forwards and backwards using the comfortable hand grips and be amazed at how easy it is to cut through pieces of wood that would have otherwise posed a laborious task. The wrap-around design means that, in contrast to other types of saws which only cut from one side, the FlexiSaw cuts from three sides simultaneously, meaning it performs much faster than conventional saws. In addition to this, the FlexiSaw’s length means it can be used to trim even high-up branches without the need for a ladder, giving it another advantage over the traditional saw.

Unlike many conventional manual saws, the FlexiSaw is not limited to cutting wood. Virtually any solid object is no match for the strength of the FlexiSaw, giving it much more versatility than other types of saw.

The FlexiSaw does such a quick and efficient job, the kind of which can only usually be achieved with an electric chainsaw, it really is amazing that it is completely manually operated. And the fact that it is manually operated means it is one-hundred percent environmentally friendly and costs nothing to maintain. Additionally it is far easier to operate than an electric chainsaw, far safer and far more portable, allowing you to take it on camping or hiking trips and use it to cut up fire wood.

With this in mind, why not make the switch to the FlexiSaw now? All those tricky cutting tasks will become so much easier; you’ll no longer have to dread getting that rusty old saw out of the garage or shed when a branch needs cutting. Instead, just get out your FlexiSaw and the work will be completed in no time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Backpacking Saw, July 29, 2011 By Sarah
At a total weight of 160g inside of its plastic bag, this is a great saw for backpacking. I easily cut through smaller (<5") branches with it, and with some patience you can cut through much larger logs. As others have mentioned, it does have some quirks you have to get used to. Most notably, it does easily bind, typically near the end of a cut. You have to make sure you don't force it out or bend it. The best thing to do is bend/lift the branch/log to remove the pressure pinching it, and then it will usually slide out pretty easily. The quirks and limitations are well worth dealing with for such a lightweight and effective saw. I take it with me anytime I go backpacking.

5.0 out of 5 stars: Absolutely unreal how strong it is., June 12, 2011 By Karen
I just returned from a four day/three nights camping excursion where this pocket saw was included in my gear. No one in the camping group initially thought this item was going to work, and assumed it was just like all the cheap wire versions we are used to seeing break immediately. Over the course of the trip this saw was relied upon time and time again to produce firewood, and did its job with ease. One person, who had brought a really nice and sharp hatchet, actually put his hatchet aside and started using this saw. While the product description says it will cut logs up to 3 inches across we were cutting apart logs four to six inches repeatedly. The most amazing thing about this saw was it seemed to retain all of its sharpness even after the trip! Definitely give this saw a try, as you will be amazed at how capable it is.
