1930s/40s German/French Cyclist Leather Jacket

Superb inside and out, fairly minimal wear and scuffing and a beautiful patina only achievable over time. Lining very good also. Beautiful clean Jacket
Features... 2 front hand pockets, waist side button strap, cuff button straps, wool checked lining. Dates back to 1940s
Type of jacket as worn by German Luftwaffe Fighter pilots during WW2. Essentially these were cycling jackets worn by civilians all over Germany and France, but many of these type of jackets were purchased privately and used exstensively by German Officers and Servicemen. They were considered smart jackets and very suitable for use in the tighter confines of fighter plane cockpits. Without any insignia its impossible to know for sure whether this was ever used by a german fighter pilot but it is also known that a lot of pilots at the time wore their jackets without insignia.
