Produced between 1955 and 1962, the Triumph TR3 was a simple and reliable car that could reach 110 mph and was most popular with drivers looking for better performance in their vehicles. It was the last of the Triumph models to use the classic silhouette when, in 1961, Triumph introduced the TR4, which offered a similar mechanical set up, but much more modernized styling. In the United States, the TR3 was such a popular model that Triumph sold it one year longer, after production ceased for Europe and other markets in 1961. The Triumph TR4 gearbox was then fitted to these latest TR3’s sold in the United States in 1962.
This 1962 Triumph TR3
is one of the last of it’s production and it is the perfect candidate for a
complete restoration project. The frame is straight as an arrow and the car has
never been restored before – so you will not need to correct poorly executed
previous work. The doors and trunk have spectacular fit with no gapping, and
the hood has only minor gapping on the driver’s side. The interior also has all
of its original components and the engine, in pieces, will need a complete
rebuild.

**EDIT: We believe this car is a TR3A, not a TR3B. The 'A' was a minor update from the original TR3 - the update included exterior door handles, a wide-front grill, a lockable trunk handle, and a full tool kit as standard. Experts suspect that only approximately 9,500 of the original 58,000 TR3A's built survive in the world today.
**EDIT: The full VIN for this vehicle is TS79873L
