this is a machete made in Guanabacoa ,Havana,Cuba, all machetes and swords were imported into Cuba from the U.S.and Germany during the ten year war and the Spanish American War. There was only one family in Cuba that had been makeing edged wepons for five generations that lived out side Havana in Guanabacoa ,There are only two in the Havana
museum and the Cuban museum in Miami does not even have one,this could be the only one out side Cuba, this machete is hand forged steel with a brass ,iron and ebony wood handle,this is the rarest machete in existence right now and very valuable,i measures about 36 inches in length and is very heavy no one has this in there collection ,i brought this back myself a long time ago and now have decided to sell it,i will have more information on it in a few days
