Antique Art Deco 18K Gold Sapphire Star Burst / Snowflake Pendant / Brooch





Another great estate find! This genuine Art Deco antique (1920's) pendant / brooch is studded with 8 genuine blue sapphires all set in 18K yellow gold. The piece is both a pin / brooch and a pendant. The loop for the pendant folds up and down so as to disappear if you should decide to wear it as a pin. The piece is in excellent estate condition and is ready to wear. The only flaw is that the original catch for the pin was replaced with a more modern catch and the jeweler did not do the best of jobs replacing it.

The piece is not hallmarked but it is tested and guaranteed solid 18K gold. Usually the hallmarks on pieces like this are on the catch and as this was replaced so to goes the hallmark.

The center sapphire is about .25 carats and the surrounding sapphires are each about .15 carats. 

The piece weighs a total of 5.5 grams and measures about 1" tall and 1" wide.
