These high quality 4mm gold-plated banana plugs were designed for systems requiring the best quality speaker cables. The plugs are ideal for use with the best available audio separates and loudspeakers, thus ensuring their optimum sonic performance without any degradation in sound!
Designed to fit 4mm amplifier and speaker sockets found on most high-end audio separates, these 4mm plugs are constructed from a gold-plated metal conductor and pin section with strong, reliable spring for a consistently perfect contact. In addition, a one-piece screw and clamp section ensures easy cable termination, resulting in a high level of performance and connectivity.
Installation of the banana plugs does not require soldering as the speaker cable can be firmly screw clamped or crimped into place. However, termination of speaker cable by crimping or soldering via a generous solder bucket may achieve optimum sonic performance in addition to screw fixing the cable which can be up to 4mm in diameter.
Please note that some Arcam and Cyrus amplifiers are fitted with BFA style speaker sockets, so please ensure that your model of amplifier is fitted with 4mm sockets. You can also purchase BFA plugs from our store.
The rigid red and black covers can be fitted after the cable has been terminated for convenience.
