VIRTUOSO SPRING-SUMMER PLAYING CARDS
This buy it now is for TWO NEW DECKS of Virtuoso playing cards (Spring-Summer 2014), designed by The Virts, a team of playing card flourishing enthusiasts from Singapore. The decks were produced by U.S. Playing Card Co.
This deck is the follow-up to The Virts' hugely popular Launch Edition deck, which is SOLD OUT at their web site.
The Virtuoso deck's back design was crafted to enhance any card flourish you do, swirling, strobing, connectings and isolating based on your movements and displays. The Virtuoso deck's back design is made up of large multi-directional shapes and long outward extending lines. This not only forms a larger, more powerful image when you flourish, it also conforms to whatever direction or configuration your cards are in.
The faces of the Virtuoso deck were illustrated by one of Singapore's top illustrators, Morby Lin. A closer look also reveals that the faces weren't created with curves, but many straight lines to stay congruent with the back design. Every suit was given its own design theme, with modern takes on the classic design. The suits and pips were completely yet subtly re-designed to match the back design. They're also larger so they're more visible, while still paying homage to the classics.
The Virts took the classic Tally Ho Linoid finish that card flourishers know and love, and applied it onto a modern casino-grade stock. The Virtuoso deck was produced in Q1 standard to ensure the highest quality possible. It is also exclusively printed on USPC's web press.
Although the deck designs are similar, there are some changes in the Spring-Summer deck:
-- The Launch Edition's black and red pips are changed to blue and orange in the Spring Summer deck. The color scheme for the court cards also reflects this change.
-- The ace of spades has a different design
-- The pips are placed differently in Spring-Summer
-- The Spring-Summer backs have slightly thinner white borders.
Each deck contains 52 cards and four advertising cards. There are NO jokers with either deck.
These are BRAND NEW decks, in cellophane and sealed.
