Famous Monsters of Filmland #27 - Tied for 12th highest grade - CGC 9.2 - 1964

Size: 9.5" x 14

Greetings Collectors,

Rick from Pawn Stars says in the opening, “You never know what’s gonna come through that door.” Well, having had a 7000 square ft. place of business in Moonachie, NJ now for over a year I’m beginning to have the pleasure of witnessing exceptional things come through my front door. Here we have a collection of Famous Monsters of Filmland Magazines that contain several of the highest graded copies, ever!

I’m happy to present these books to collectors of these great pieces of Americana. I know the people that collect these magazines can be fanatics about them so I have fought off offers on individual books before starting this structured auction. I am trying to provide a fair chance to all collectors out there, big and small, to own some of the best copies ever graded so we are presenting this structured auction on eBay in three phases over the next three weeks.

The entire list follows this message. Good luck with your wants and bidding!

- AS

P.S. I have included in the list a census report with each issue that is either the highest graded or near the highest graded.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is your base shipping for CGC comics?

Domestic for CGCs are $10 for the first and $5 for each additional one you add.

What is your base shipping for raw comics?

Our base ship method will be in a media box, media mail for $5 domestic. If it says expedited $5.60 that’s a typo! Base shipping price you see is for your item to be shipped very well in the appropriate box. We spend money on these boxes to protect during shipping so you can be confident your item will arrive securely.

Do you combine shipping?

Yes, of like items. Such as: several comics can fit in one media box, as can more than one record. Multiple art pages can easily be combined because they are light and thin. Where combined shipping differs is with size and weight. For instance, two statues require a much bigger box. Same goes for CGCs, as the package gets bigger and heavier as you go.

Do you ship well? I’ve had some bad experiences…

You needn’t worry; we are professionals who value your business and want your item to arrive safely as much as you do. I have been collecting for over 30 years. I send out items the way I would like to receive them.

What does WH mean?

We operate out of two locations, so WH stands for Warehouse, an internal code for us to know which location the item is in.

Have these CGCs had any previous owners?

No. I have personally sent in almost all of these to CGC and had them returned to me, offering them fresh to the market for the 1st time.

I see the word STAT when describing the art page I’m interested in. What’s a STAT?

A STAT is essentially a photocopy glued on to one or more of the panels by the artist done during production of the piece and is not original artwork. We will do our best to clearly identify what’s a STAT or what isn't on your page, if indeed it contains one.

I changed my mind after successfully winning the auction or fixed price listing, will you cancel the transaction?

Please only bid or hit BUY IT NOW if you are willing to follow through and pay for the item, we will not cancel the transaction. As a seller, eBay penalizes us every time we cancel an order, so it is detrimental to our business to do so. Therefore if you will not pay, then you'll have to let eBay cycle this to an “unpaid item” and accept whatever action eBay deems necessary.
