GERMANY. Encased stamp money, ca1919-20. Town of RHEINE am Ems.  Pictures a labeled bottle of  Kumpers Amsterdamer Celluloid,  about 32mm. 15-Pfennig stamp.. Abt. UNC.

Issued as a small-change substitute in the aftermath of WW1. Most pieces are about 32mm. The celluloid issues do not look much different in XF, AU or UNC. I don't believe any foreign encased stamp has ever been slabbed. Collectors of the brass-&-mica USA Civil War pieces have thus far not shown interest in foreign pieces, not the 20th-Century USA souvenir issues.

I am listing THIRTY+ pieces of Encased Postage on eBay, closing Sunday, December 28. They are frpom Germany, France, Italy, Spanish Civil War, USA (20th Century), etc. A quarter on eBay.com. a quarter on eBay-Germany and the other half on eBay-France. Almost all are scarce or rare.
