Antique 19th Century Wood Carved Panel

This came from a local PA estate and the family had no idea where it came from. Carved from a single plank of wood, it has some weight to it(6½lbs). It measures just over 14" wide x a little over 23" high x 1¾" deep. Very old, guessing mid 1800's. I do not know who the man is. He is wearing a turban with a cloth covering his head. It looks like there is a sword and knife handle on his side. He is wearing a ring on his right hand and wearing an armband of some kind. Some original paint on knife/sword handles, turban, beard and armband. It looks like it was a panel from a wall or something, there are square nail holes on top and bottom edges.

Very well carved. There are some cracks here and there. It is solid with no repairs.
